Tata Motors has launched its first electric SUV, the Tata Punch, based on the Active Architecture. This SUV boasts an attractive design, modern features, and excellent performance. The Tata Punch EV is ideal for both city and highway use, with two battery options, improved range, and fast charging.
Tata Punch EV Battery Options & Motor
The Tata Punch EV is available in two battery options: 25kWh and 35kWh. The standard variant features a 60kW motor (114Nm of torque), while the long-range variant features a 90kW motor (190Nm of torque). Charging time is just 56 minutes using a 50kW DC fast charger. A 7.2kW home charger takes 3.6 to 5 hours, and a 3.3kW portable charger takes 9.5 to 13.5 hours.
Tata Punch EV Premium Features
The Tata Punch EV has received a 5-star safety rating from the Bharat NCAP, making it one of the safest electric SUVs in the segment. It comes with advanced safety features like six airbags, ABS+EBD, ESP, hill-hold assist, ESC, and ISOFIX. Premium features include a 360° camera, electric parking brake, ventilated seats, cruise control, soft-touch climate control, and dual 10.25-inch screens.
Tata Punch EV Design & Range
The Punch EV’s design is similar to the petrol version, but the car features some modern touches like a closed front grille, a new DRL design, and EV badging. According to ARAI, this electric car has a range of 315 km to 421 km, depending on its battery variant. This range is sufficient for everything from everyday city driving to weekend highway trips.
Tata Punch EV Ex-Showroom Price & EMI
Its ex-showroom price starts at ₹9.99 lakh and goes up to ₹14.44 lakh for the top variant. If you take a loan of ₹9.44 lakh at an interest rate of 9.8% and a tenure of 5 years, your estimated monthly EMI comes to around ₹23,844. The EMI amount may vary slightly depending on the down payment, interest rate, and bank terms.
